Lesedi Nuclear Services Improves Learner's Dining Experience at Witstand Primary School
Lesedi Nuclear Services has made a positive impact on the learners at Witstand Primary School, in Atlantis, by addressing an important issue—students were previously eating their meals while standing. To restore their dignity, Lesedi intervened and built a new eating and sitting area.
The facility provides a comfortable, safe space for learners to enjoy their meals in a dignified manner, promoting better focus on their studies. It includes child-friendly furniture and an interactive play area, ensuring the children not only have a comfortable place to eat but also a space that encourages fun and learning.
As an organisation that prioritizes safety, Lesedi ensured the area is secure and welcoming, with tents and desks creating a cozy dining environment. Lesedi Nuclear Services remains committed to enhancing the educational experience for students at Witstand Primary School.
Lesedi Nuclear Services Inspires Future Engineers at Atlantis High School
In June 2024, Lesedi Nuclear Services visited Atlantis High School to inspire students to consider engineering as a career. With engineering being essential to the country’s future, experienced engineers from Lesedi shared valuable insights into the field, discussing its importance and diverse opportunities.
The session also included an educational component on solar energy, where students learned about clean energy and had the chance to see a real solar panel in action. This hands-on experience aimed to spark interest in engineering and encourage students to explore future career paths in the industry.
Additionally, Lesedi donated sanitary towels and menstruation cups to the girls at the school, following a session led by a professional nurse who provided important information on hygiene, health, and wellness.

Lesedi Revamps Atlantis High School Kitchen to Support Student Nutrition and Learning
Studies worldwide have demonstrated that children cannot learn effectively on an empty stomach. To address this socio-economic challenge, the government has implemented a feeding program in schools within disadvantaged communities. However, the lack of adequate facilities for food preparation remains an unaddressed issue.
Recognizing this gap, Lesedi Engineering, through its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) program, took the initiative to renovate the kitchen at Atlantis High School. The renovation ensured that meals are now prepared in a safe, hygienic, and conducive environment, contributing to the overall well-being and academic success of the students.
